Antrim Colts U12s  5  Northend United U12s  2                                                Saturday 18th February 2012

This was a below par performance by the Northend U12 team who again let themselves down with this display at the Antrim Forum on Saturday. Antrim went in-front when a Northend player got caught with the ball and Antrim played a quick ball through the Blues defence to score. They doubled their lead with a similar goal, leaving the Half Time score 2-0

Northend shot themselves in the foot again when with only five minutes on the clock gone they allowed Antrim to play a ball across there box and with a player standing free at the back it allowed him time to place the ball into Northend's net.
Northend responded well with a goal from Graham McCarthey who was played through by James O'Loughlin and with only the keeper to beat he slide the ball into the far corner.
Antrim again went further in-front when they gave the ball away which lead to a Northend player putting into his own net. Northend again scored when McCarthey slid another shot past the Colts keeper.
Northend still gave the ball away to easy and Antrim made them pay when they won a throw-in and the big striker did a clever dummy on his marker and fired into the top corner to win this match easily.

Ballyclare Comrades U12s  0  Northend United U12s 4                          Saturday 11th February 2012

Northend were in control of this game from the first whistle and with quick flowing football Ballyclare were finding it hard to get near the ball. Jordon Adams down the right wing was having a great game and was the source of most Northend attacks. Daniel Bell opened the scoring for Northend when his shot from a tight angle flew into the far corner of the Ballyclare net. Bell added the second as well when he blasted his shot into the bottom corner to put Northend well in control going into the second-half. Half time score 2-0

Northend made a few changes at half-time with Matthew Kirk coming on and it turned out to be a great substitution with Kirk adding two more goals with great finishing after the midfield of Kuba Babuszewski and Jordan Stock passing balls down the wings. Northend kept the ball well until the final whistle.

Northend United U12s  1  St. Andrews U12s  3                                      Saturday 4th February 2012

This was a cracker of a match with both teams attacking at every opportunity and it was St. Andrews who took most of theirs with Northend missing some great chances to close the gap on the team just above them.
St. Andrews went in-front against the run of play after Northend had missed two great chances in the first few minutes with Graham McCartney running through on goal only for the keeper to pull of two great saves.
St. Andrews went in-front when Mark in goal could only parry away a shot from the left wing and the St .Andrews striker followed through to curl into the far bottom corner. St. Andrews then got a second from the penalty spot when the referee harshly awarded them a penalty when two players collided when going away from goal.
Northend then pulled one back with the goal of the game when Daniel Bell was played through by Kuba Babuszewski who shook of his marker and crossed the ball into the box and Graham McCartney timed his jump perfectly to head into the net. Northend were well on top and could of had a penalty when their keeper came flying out of his goal and Bell skipped around him only to get got with his leg but Bell tried his best to stay on his feet and he missed the chance to score when pushed wide with the ball. Half time 2-1

The game started as the first finished with Northend on top but could not find the second goal they were looking for with Jordan Adams and Brandon Millar missing great chances with only the keeper to beat.
Both defences were in great form and were dealing with most attacks from the strikers and midfielders but Northend were always liable to the counter attack as the went looking for a equalizer and St. Andrews got their third when they lost the ball in midfield and St. Andrews played a long ball down field and their little winger scored a cracker when he hit the back of the Northend net from the corner of the eighteen. Northend still came back at St Andrews and should of done better when they got in behind their defence. This was a great performance from all the Northend players and a great match to watch.

Northend's U12 team travelled to Belfast on Monday night to play Carnmoney Colts at Loughside. Northend put in a below performance and struggled to get into the game and fell behind but they responded straight away when Daniel Bell rounded the keeper and slotted the ball home.

Northend fell behind again when Carnmoney were awarded a free-kick and when the ball came in a Northend player missed the ball and it fell to the Carnmoney player who gave Joss Mark in goal no chance when he drilled home from three yards out. Whitehead Eagles U12s  1  Northend United U12s  5                                       Saturday 21st January 2012

Northend stormed into a early lead when James Hayburn scored in the second minute after he received the ball down the left hand side and coolly chipped the ball over the keeper into the roof of the net, Matthew Kirk then quickly added a second from close range. Northend should have been awarded a penalty when Daniel Bell was lifted in the box and to the amazement of everyone he gave a goal-kick.

Northend were well on top and should of added more goals before Brandon Millar added a third when he volleyed his shot into the top corner from the edge of the box to give Northend a three-nil lead going in at half-time.

Northend got of to a great start after they pinned Whitehead back in their own half when for the second week in a row James Hayburn scored the goal of the game when he controlled the ball just out side the box and smashed the ball into the roof of the net and Daniel Bell finished of the goal scoring for Northend when he finished of a great move when Graham McCarthey crossed the ball into the front post and Bell drove the ball home from close range to made it five nil, Whitehead scored late into the game to leave the final score 5-1 to Northend. Ballyclare Colts U12s  1  Northend United U12s  6                                              Saturday 14th January 2012

Northend travelled to Ballyclare on a frosty morning but it didn't take long for them to warm up with the U12s putting in a great performance and went in-front in the twelve minute when Jamie Stevenson ran onto a great pass from midfield and coolly chipped the keeper from twenty yards to put United 1-0.
They should of been in-front long before Stevenson scored with the Ballyclare keeper forced into action as early as the fifth minute with Jordan Stock and Matthew Kirk missing good chances. Ballyclare came more into the game but could not get pass the defence of Shaw, Millar, Dobbin which was well marshalled by captain Aaron Campbell and Northend stretched there lead when Jordan Stock ran onto another pass from midfield and he held off the Ballyclare defender to blast over the keeper into the top corner of the net. Ballyclare pulled a goal back just before half-time when they won a free-kick twenty-five yards out and when it was played in the Northend team stepped out the ball fell to a Ballyclare player who was clearly five yards offside and to the surprise of the Northend line the referee allowed the goal to stand. Half time score 2-1

Northend made two changes at half-time with Bell upfront and McCarthey on the wing and this put more pressure on Ballyclare with both players forcing their players into mistakes and allowed Northend extending their lead with four cracker goals with Stock getting his second, Aaron Campbell scored with a cracker into the far corner from a corner-kick and Graham McCarthey smashing a shot into the top corner from twenty-five yards Northend were buzzing and the goal of the match came from James Hayburn when a ball over the top from Anthony Shaw was coolly controlled by Hayburn who then held of the big defender to brilliantly lob the ball over the Ballyclare keeper from thirty yards and everyone on both lines appreciated this fine goal and the outstanding performance of the Northend U12 team. Northend United U12s  5  Ballyclare Comrades U12s  0                                  Saturday 7th January 2012

Northend put in a great performance on Saturday considering they have not trained or played a match in a month. The Blues went in-front when Matthew Kirk finished inside the box with a perfect shot into the bottom corner of the Ballyclare goal. The same player scored the second when he was well placed to finish a good build up and Jamie Stevenson got the third just before half-time when he struck the ball from distance after Jordan Stock played the ball back to him and the Ballyclare keeper was given no chance with the ball finishing in the top corner. Northend's new look U12s were well on top and should have added more goals on this first half performance but Ballyclare's defence played well with some great tackles. Half-time score 3-0

Ballyclare started well in the second-half and had Northend pinned back but the new look defence held well and rode out the storm and soon added goal number four when Graham McCarthey finished of a brilliant move when he chipped the ball over the keeper and then he got his second and if it had not been for a brilliant save by the Ballyclare keeper he would of had a hat-trick. Northend put in a hard working performance with lots of brilliant football and their captain Aaron Campbell was given Man of the Match by doing things simple at the back.
